Nike Air Jordan 1″New Beginnings” Has a Tentative Release Date

The Nike Air Jordan 1 “New Beginnings” pack, which includes a 1985 Nike Air Jordan 1 in red/white and 1984’s Nike Air Ship, has a rumored release date and a fitting one at that. The pack is set to drop during the 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend which takes place in Chicago this year. The early rumored price for the 2-pack is said to be in the $350 range.

The Nike Air Ship, if you recall, was the shoe that Jordan wore early in his rookie season before the creation of the Air Jordan 1. And while adorning the Air Ship, it was this shoe that was banned by the NBA and not the Air Jordan 1, for breaking the NBA uniform code. It has long been rumored that Nike has plans to bring the Air Ship back for the 35th anniversary of the popular relic.

The shoes will be released in a half-in-half box with AJ1 coming with the hang tag from 1985.

Air Jordan 5 Fire Red Dropping March of 2020

The iconic Jordan 5 Fire Red will drop in 2020, paving the way for what is quickly shaping up to be one of the most exciting years for sneakers in recent time. The 2020 release will be the closest to the original 1990 release to date, with design features including the reflective tongue, the black midsole, and the hyper red detailing that set these off as one of the most iconic Jordan’s ever made. As always, zSneakerheadz is on the plug with fresh images of the 2020 drop.

Air Jordan 4 “What The” Drops November 23

Whether you’re a fan of the mash up colorway or a hater, the Jordan 4 is dropping just in time for the Christmas season.

While the KD has been off and on with sales (notably the KD6 having the most staying power), the Jordan’s have been quiet on the “What The” front, until now.

Utilizing one of it’s most popular shoes, the Jordan 4 will keep it rather conservative, sticking to the true colors of the original Jordan’s and not adding any additional flare.

Confirmation of the release was solidified when the FootLocker app posted the shoe to it’s release calendar. Images were leaked throughout the year, but it was not until recently the ultimate confirmation was made. Peep the images below in the gallery.

Nike Cuts Ties With Amazon and We Know Why

In a bid to build their direct-to-consumer relationship with their customers, Nike announced on Wednesday that they will no longer use Amazon’s Marketplace to sell their products.

In 2017, Nike began selling their products on Amazon in an effort to combat the illicit trade of counterfeit Nike products flooding the world’s largest e-marketplace. Now, according to a statement released to Bloomberg News, they are striking that agreement.

As we have seen, Amazon has been marginal at best in removing counterfeit goods from their marketplace. In the meantime, Nike has done an outstanding job in building their own online marketplace, operating via apps such as the SNKRS app and their self branded Nike app. According to the statement, Amazon had been anticipating this for a while now as Nike has been closely following the Amazon situation.

In the meantime, Amazon has gone out of their way in a bid to offer Nike products to their buyers by recruiting 3rd party distributors of the brand to sell Nike branded products on Amazon. Nike was already facing stiff competition as many sellers of Nike’s products were outpacing them in the review category which was landing Nike lower down in the search listings.
